well, hey bro, i was really benefited by your opinion,
first off, hi and thanks for this its realy informative, but i got a question for you,

it started off when i set 135 lbs for the mother fucker squat workout,

it has gone wrong the moment i lifted the barbell upwards to locate it on my shoulders or front chest, at that height, i hurted my back so bad, i dropped the barbell and yelled,
this happened the past sunday, its been 8 days,
and im not really recovered,
i could say the muscles surrounding the spine got hurt or got stressed, i really dont know,
im feeling that, im 20 years, and i feel my back wont go back to its normal,

also, im really wondering about the lower back injury, i hurt my back in the middle, i cant find a recovery for the middle,

maybe i broke my back?

i still can lift weights, but i have flash backs of the incident and pain so i dont want to reapeat it, helppppp

Lauri,

You should only do what you feel comfortable with. Back extensions are great way to strengthen the lower back. If some exercises bother you, try using lighter weights and/or working a single leg version of the exercise. For example, if squats bother your back, you can work single leg squats and lunges.

Hi, I was wondering whether I should do only squats when im in the gym and back extensions or any other excersises to? The sharp pain is gone but I have strong sense of discomfort in my back, which is probably due to weak back muscles. So I hope you answer soon, my email is syphor131@hotmail.com.
